| October 2002 to 2003 has been proclaimed the Year of the Rosary by Pope John Paul II. Our Holy Father has given to the whole Church his deep insight on the prayer of the Rosary and introduces a new set of mysteries- The Luminous Mysteries. These five mysteries reflect on significant moments in Jesus’ public ministry. The second of these mysteries is "The Manifestation of Jesus at Cana". In our Liturgy we observe Mary’s role in bringing attention to the signs or miracles of Jesus. Mary is one of the first believers of her son. We will try to make connections to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and how she initiates Jesus into the role of performing his first miracle as we pray the Rosary. This miracle also opens the hearts of the disciples to faith. |
