ACTIVITIES:
Our Religion Program is enhanced through the following activities:
MASS CELEBRATION
Each Grade plans and prepares for a Mass with a theme that is special to their program and activities.
Grade 1 - Children of the Light -beginning
of Advent
Grade 2-First Eucharist
Grade 3-Reconciliation
Grade4-Receiving the Good News
Grade 5-May We Be One
Grade 6- Farewell
WEEKLY PRAYER SERVICE
Students meet each Monday morning for assembly. Each grade takes turns hosting the assembly and sharing the gospel in various ways. Sunday's gospel has been shared by drama, songs, prayers, Power Point Presentations and many other creative ways.
ADVENT CELEBRATIONS
Students and teachers assemble in the gymnasiun every morning during the Advent season to gather around the Advent Wreath. Grade 1 students assisted by Grade 6 students light the candles.Everyone then joins in Advent prayers and hymns.
LENT ACTIVITIES
Each classroom has a fund raising activity for Peace & Development. Classroom representatives then present their offerings at Holy Thursday Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church.
