The current board consists of five members: John Nikolejsin, (chairperson), Bruno Tuchscherer (Vice-chairperson), Dwayne Hoffman, Vic Koszman and Jerome Sidloski.
At present, the Weyburn Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 84 offers a wide range of instruction, in addition to the core curriculum in all grades K-9.
Religious instruction and religious knowledge
is taught in all grades. The Priest assists in the schools whenever
possible, especially with preparation of the Sacraments i.e. First
Eucharist and First Reconciliation. Masses are held in both schools
on a regular basis, again with the assistance of the Priest and
. The Masses are open to parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters
and friends to attend.
Computer assisted instruction is offered in Grades K-6, while
keyboarding and computer literacy is offered in Grades 7-9. General
music is included in the K-9 curriculum, and Band is offered to
Grades 7-9. Industrial Arts (Drafting and Video Editing), Art
Education, and Home Economics classes are offered at the Junior
High level. Core French is instructed in Grades 1-9.
Special Education is also offered, where necessary, to all students. This includes one-on-one assistance in the resource room and speech and language instruction. Modified and/or alternate programming and instruction (mainstreaming) is offered, as needed. As well, enrichment programs are provided.
All of these programs are provided within
the context of a safe, caring environment that promotes the teachings
of our lord, Jesus Christ.
