Welcome to the 2008 Skills Canada Saskatchewan Cardboard Boat Races eJ Website.
This year we had a turnout of over 100 students. These students were from the Prairie Valley School System, the Regina Public School System, and the Regina Catholic School System.
The day started off with each group getting an hour and a half to build and perfect their boat designs. Some groups soared ahead of the rest finishing their boats in record times. Other groups struggled to get their plans into action. However, in the end it all came down to the races. This is where the true brillance of the cardboard boat designs came into realization. Visit our photojournalism, podcast, video, and newsletter projects to find out what went on during the day's event. Thanks to Community Networks and Skills Canada Saskatchewan and the coperate sponsors who helped make this day possible.
This website and all of its' properties were designed by students of O'Neill High School's New Media Course.
This has been another Regina Catholic School eJournalism event. |
