Canada's smallest province is covered with many small lakes and rivers. It is 224 km. long. Charlottetown, the capital city, is the largest city on the island. A bridge called the Confederation Bridge joins New Brunswick and P.E.I. The bridge was opened in 1997 and is almost 13 km long. the salt marshes There is a large fishing industry.
