The Kitchen
Essentials Assignment 
requires students to examine three different sources for lists
of essential kitchen equipment. Students will fill in the
chart with list items, identifying essentials that are common
to all three sources. They will also identify those items
not common to all three sources that they consider essential for
their own kitchens.
As an extension of
this activity, students may be asked to price the essential items
to determine the total cost of equipping the basic kitchen.
Students could visit local stores or consult catalogues for pricing
information.
