Robert Longpre collected various I'le a la Crosse biographies in his book Ile-a la-Crosse ... a Bi Centennial. A brief description of peoples lives along with a picture are included. The people highlighted include: Mary Rose McCallum; Mary Ann Kyplain; Claudia Lariviere; Sister Therese Arcand; Tom Natomagan; Fred Darbyshire; Nap Johnson; Roy Simpson; and Vital Morin. As well a brief biography of Vital Morin is highlighted in the Sask Gov. site as a winning a volunteer medal, while Mike Durocher also as information about Vital's life as well.

Selmer Ausland has created a web site that honours the life of his father, Halvor Ausland, along with the people living around I'le a la Crosse in the 1920' and 1930's. .

A biography of Louis Riel is presented in the University of Saskatchewan Archives. A search for more materials on Riel can be an exhaustive search since there are over 20 000 sites dedicated to this Metis hero.
