Those people who know they have great spiritual needs are happy. The kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Matt 5:3

Lord Jesus, I am happy
When you are by my side.
You are my friend and teacher
My helper and my guide.
Amen

Those who are sad now are happy. God will comfort them. Matt 5:4

Comfort me, dear Jesus,
When I am feeling sad.
Let your love surround me,
Help me to be glad.
Amen

Those who are humble are happy. The earth will belong to them. Matt 5:5

Teach me to be kind, Lord.
And I will grow like you,
Helping those who are in need;
Serving, as you would do.
Amen

Those who want to do right more than anything else are happy. God will fully satisfy them. Matt 5:6

When I follow you, Lord,
You make everything all right.
You make me feel so happy.
You fill me with delight.
Amen

Those who give mercy to others are happy. Mercy will be given to them. Matt 5:7

When others are unkind,
In what they say or do,
Help me to forgive them, Lord,
Before the day is through.
Amen

Those who are pure in their thinking are happy. They will be with God. Matt 5:8

Lord, help my eyes to look to you,
My hands to do your will.
Teach my ears to hear your word,
And my heart to love you still.
Amen

Those who work to bring peace are happy. God will call them His sons. Matt 5:9

When others get upset, Lord,
Let my words, I pray,
Bring peace and happiness
To make a better day.
Amen

Those who are treated badly for doing good are happy. The kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Matt 5:10

Lord, no matter what my friends say,
No matter what they do,
Give me strength to always say,
"I will follow you!"
Amen
