Demonstrations

The way that you choose to demonstrate will ultimately affect the outcome of the learning in your classroom!

The Effective Demonstrator

An effective demonstrator will...
get their audience's attention or interest right off the start.

will state the objectives and tell what they are going to demonstrate.

clearly explain step by step what they are doing and how to do it.

frequently interact with their audience through questions and/or humour.

review the steps or stages at the end of the demonstration.

debrief the students using these questions: What did I just do? What did you learn? What are you going to do with this new knowledge?

Preparing a Quality Demonstration

How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it? How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it?
